DundeePRN: A peer-reviewed, peer-edited, student-led collaborative Web 2.0 initiative. OK, that's the management-speak over!
So what is DundeePRN? It's more than a Dundee medical student version of wikipedia with our own blogs! It's "Our Dundee"! A place to enjoy learning medicine, and find ways to do so. Throw in some discussion, unique content and the input of real Ninewells doctors to verify the content, and there you have it!
The software has been upgraded - read the new users page before logging in! Any problems with logging in, email DundeePRN <at> dundee <dot> ac <dot> uk.

We are busy developing e-modules on "Consent in Vulnerable Patients" and "End-of-life Care". Your feedback on the first draft of these would be greatly valued and will help us to produce e-modules that are tailored to medical students' needs.
This would involve giving your feedback on a 10-15 page Word document and returning your comments fast (within 7 days). If willing and available to do this, please contact:
Mark Rodgerson M.J.Rodgerson@dundee.ac.uk : to review the "Consent in Vulnerable Patients" module
Iain Kennedy I.M.Kennedy@dundee.ac.uk : to review the " Ethical and Legal Issues in End-of-life Care" module
I was wondering if it would be possible to put a list of all the blogs we are supposed to be using somewhere. I don't know about anyone else but I never seem to be able to find the links to the countless blogs we are given and now I'm even unsure as to what systems have blogs and which ones don't. I think it would be very useful if there was somewhere where you could access all this information rather than searching the whole of the internet every time I need to go on one of them. Thanks.
DundeePRN is being entirely revamped – and we need your help testing and giving feedback on the new version! We’re looking for Dundee medical students (in any year) who have a couple of hours to spare now and then over the summer to road- test the new site. Don’t worry about how computer literate you are – we want to make sure the site works for everyone, however computer-savvy they are.
The new site will be going live next semester and we’ll be giving training on creating educational resources online to go with the launch – and we’ll give priority to testers to receive the training.
And of course there will be certificates for your portfolios…
If you’re interested e-mail me, miwhite@dundee.ac.uk before 7th June. If you want more information either e-mail me or comment on this post.
